What a SUCCESS!

Members from Karuk Youth Leadership presented at a Karuk Tribe Housing Authority Board Meeting on May 6th to propose a budget request to help combat the growing feline communities throughout KTHA communities. 

The youth were successful in their initial request of $25,000 to bring a Spay & Neuter Clinic to Yreka Tribal Housing.

On June 3rd, the youth joined another KTHA Board Meeting to request an additional $50,000 in funding to support the Spay & Neuter Clinics in Happy Camp and Orleans.

​

We are proud to announce that all their hard work and dedication has paid off. KTHA has approved all requests and planning for these clinics is now underway.

​

The planning is underway for the third Spay & Neuter Clinic happening in Orleans from October 23rd-26th.
